Artists: Jochen Plogsties & Katsutoshi Yuasa

Jochen Plogsties (1974) is known for his reproductions of existing and famous works of art. His reproductions are alienating and make us look at existing art in a new and different way. He manipulates scale and the application of paint. He simultaneously calls into question the reality shaped by the media.

Katsutoshi Yuasa (1978) makes woodcut prints from his own digital photographs. He combines the snapshots of his photography with a lengthy reinterpretation of the same image. He transforms his brief images into haunting images, as beautiful up close as from a distance.
